The United States Expands Its Visa Fees for Pakistan

The United States has minimized the visa viability and expands the visa fees for Pakistan, following to the U.S Embassy in Islamabad.

Following to the Embassy, effective January 21, 2019, an extra fee will be charged for Temporary Work Visa, Journalist and Media Visa, Intercompany Transfer Visa, and Religious Worker visas only if the visa application is accepted and the total amount must be paid at the Islamabad Embassy or Consulate General Karachi previous to visa issuance.

The fees will be:

  • Journalist and Media Visa Visas $32
  • Temporary Work Visa, Intercompany Transfer Visa, Religious Worker Visas $38

The new validity phase will be:

  1. Journalist and Media Visas: 3 months
  2. Temporary Work Visas: 12 months
  3. Intercompany Transfer Visa visas: 12 months
  4. Religious Worker Visas: 12 months

Throughout the current worldwide analysis, the Department of State noted discrepancies between the U.S. visa rule and the visa rules of many countries, including Pakistan.
